Last updated: January 2026

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Unibuz, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease use.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old. You must be a verified university student and provide accurate information. You must not have been suspended or banned previously. Unibuz may revoke access at its absolute discretion.

3. Nature of Platform

Unibuz is a technology platform only. Unibuz is not an event organiser, not a seller of goods, not a mental health provider, and not a legal or immigration adviser. We act solely as a facilitator.

4. Marketplace Disclaimer (UniBazaar)

Unibuz does not inspect goods, guarantee quality, provide escrow, or guarantee delivery. All marketplace transactions are at users' sole risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unibuz disclaims liability for fraud, loss of funds, damaged goods, personal injury, or criminal conduct arising from marketplace activity.

5. Events Disclaimer

Event organisers are solely responsible for licensing, liquor compliance, safety, insurance and refunds. Unibuz bears no responsibility for event performance. Users attend events at their own risk, including events involving alcohol.

6. Mental Health Referral Disclaimer

Unibuz may list or refer users to counselling, medical or support services. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment and are not responsible for third-party service outcomes.

7. Prohibited Conduct

Users must not: post illegal content or facilitate illegal activity; sell or promote illegal substances, drugs or weapons; harass, threaten, bully, discriminate or stalk; post explicit material or use the platform as a dating service; circumvent verification; scrape data, use bots, or attempt unauthorised access; impersonate others or post defamatory content. Zero-tolerance enforcement may apply.

8. Suspension & Termination

Unibuz may suspend accounts, restrict access, remove content, freeze organiser payouts (where applicable) or terminate accounts at its absolute discretion and without prior notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unibuz excludes liability for indirect, consequential, economic or reputational loss, data loss, event cancellation, personal injury, user disputes and third-party conduct. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited (at Unibuz's option) to the total platform fees paid by the relevant user in the preceding three (3) months. Nothing in these Terms excludes non-excludable rights under Australian Consumer Law.

10. Indemnity

You indemnify Unibuz against claims, losses, liabilities, penalties and expenses arising from your conduct, event-related claims, liquor law breaches, IP infringement, defamation, fraud, regulatory penalties, personal injury claims or marketplace disputes. This indemnity survives termination.

11. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property in Unibuz (including trademarks, branding, designs and code) remains Unibuz's property (or the property of its licensors). Users grant Unibuz a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use and display user content for platform operation, moderation, safety, and promotion.

12. Payment Terms (Stripe Connect)

Payments and payouts are processed via Stripe. Unibuz is not responsible for Stripe outages, chargebacks, bank delays or fraud losses. Event organisers bear financial responsibility for disputes and refunds in accordance with organiser policies and applicable law.

13. Dispute Resolution

Disputes must first be raised in writing with Unibuz. You agree to engage in good faith dispute resolution before commencing court proceedings (except for urgent relief).

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and parties submit to the courts of Victoria.
